A two-time offensive award winner, a newly-minted league record holder and the first player to convert a dropkick in league history are among this week’s VidSwap.com Players of the Week for Week 12.

Marion’s Stanley Jackson picked up the offensive award for the second time in the last four weeks, while Rock River’s Jon Kowalyshen earned the defensive honors. Milwaukee’s Scott Duvall claimed the special teams honor.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Stanley Jackson, Marion Mayhem

The former Ohio State Buckeye helped his team wrap up the Eastern Division crown this past week with a win over Fort Wayne. The Mayhem set a franchise mark for victories (eight) during a 62-47 triumph over the Freedom at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Jackson threw a career-high eight touchdowns during the win, just one shy of the league mark held by Chicago’s Russ Michna. He threw two touchdowns to four different Mayhem wideouts, including Ian Schmidt, Tavares Woodley, Jared Stace and Maurice Douse.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jon Kowalyshen, Rock River Raptors

Kowalyshen was a force on the defensive side of the ball for Rock River during their win over Wheeling on Saturday night. The week nine special teams award winner helped the Raptors stay in contention for the league’s final playoff spot with a 46-34 win over Wheeling at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va.

The Western Illinois alumnus tied Thomas McKenzie’s league record for sacks in a game with four. He had sacks on each of Wheeling’s first two plays and added two more later in the contest to tie the league mark. He finished with 6.5 tackles, including five solos.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Scott Duvall, Milwaukee Bonecrushers

The 54-year old Duvall did what no other CIFL player has ever done during Milwaukee’s loss to Chicago at home. The Bonecrushers hung tough with the league’s lone undefeated team, but fell 70-50 to the Slaughter at US Cellular Arena in Milwaukee, Wis.

Duvall, who was in training camp with the San Francisco 49ers in 1980, converted the first drop kick point-after try in league history on Milwaukee’s first touchdown. Duvall, who is the oldest player to ever play in a CIFL game, joined Carlos Ojeda, Doug Flutie, Phil Setterquist and Brian Mitchell as the only players to convert a drop kick in the last 50 years of professional football.
