OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Luther Stroder, Fort Wayne Freedom

He accounted for at least one touchdown in each quarter, tallying five total touchdowns on the night. His 13-yard scamper put Fort Wayne on the board for the first time late in the first quarter and a one-yard run on the next Freedom drive tied things at 14. He then added a 15-yard run later in the second, a three-yard run in the third and got his fifth score on a seven-yard pass from Bill Skelton in the fourth.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Bryceson Lawrence, Marion Mayhem
Lawrence became the first two-time defensive award winner this season after helping the Mayhem to a dominating 54-24 win over Wheeling on Saturday night. Lawrence and the Mayhem handed Wheeling its worst loss of the season, a 30-point setback, at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Marion, Ohio.
The hometown product from nearby River Valley High School recorded 10 tackles, including a half-tackle for loss, broke up four passes and picked off Rod Rutherford twice during the win. He returned the latter of the two interceptions 50 yards for a touchdown to cap the game’s scoring late in the fourth quarter.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Brad Selent, Fort Wayne Freedom
The two-time defending CIFL Special Teams Player of the Year was Fort Wayne’s Mr. Consistency during the Freedom victory over Miami Valley on Sunday. He was perfect on his extra-point tries, helping Fort Wayne to a 56-28 victory over the Silverbacks at Hobart Arena in Troy, Ohio.
Selent, the former Kalamazoo Xplosion and Battle Creek Crunch kicker, split the uprights on all eight of his point-after touchdown tries. It marked the third time this season that Selent was perfect on PAT tries.
